In what’s been a pretty tough market, things may be starting to look up. At least that’s what I’m hearing as I’ve been traveling over the summer. NICS checks have reached new heights recently and that’s translating into some cautious optimism from many of our industry’s top manufacturers of guns, ammo and optics. I’ve also paid a visit to some of the nation’s top 2-step distributors and key members of the NASGW, who echo this feeling. Thank you all for your incredible hospitality and your time.
Two-step distribution is needed now more than ever before. In times when market demands are fluctuating as they are in our industry, the best place for inventory management is as close to the customer as possible. Right now, "as close as possible" is the warehouse networks and sales teams of NASGW members across America.
We know that the more you understand your customer’s needs and preferences, the better you can satisfy them and sell more. Unfortunately, our experience is that most companies do not solicit customer feedback well, or at all. In fact, during a past NASGW webinar, over 65% of respondents said they ‘sometimes’ to ‘never’ survey their customers.
NASGW has secured room blocks at two hotel properties within walking distance of the Ernest Morial Convention Center. Once these room blocks are full, attendees will be responsible for securing rooms on their own. New Orleans also has a number of other options, all within walking distance of the Convention Center. There are no contracted rates no special room blocks at these locations, but some possible nearby suggestions are available at the link.
