As we begin to hit the heat of summer, October probably seems like a long way down the road. But not at NASGW. We’re very busy working on all the arrangements and planning for the upcoming NASGW Expo and Annual Meeting, to be held the last week of October (27-30) in New Orleans. I know many of you have already booked your exhibit space, your hotel rooms and are anxious for registration information. You are in luck, registration details can be found in this issue of InSight.
I’ve avowed the importance of getting – and staying – involved in politics more than a few times in this forum in recent months; this letter includes more of the same. It’s apparent this administration has no qualms about circumventing the separation of powers, as evidenced by his brow beating of the court system to do his bidding when his agenda fails to pass through appropriate legislative channels. Make no mistake, this is their tactic – and it’s working.
NASGW has secured room blocks at two hotel properties within walking distance of the Ernest Morial Convention Center. Once these room blocks are full, attendees will be responsible for securing rooms on their own. New Orleans also has a number of other options, all within walking distance of the Convention Center. There are no contracted rates no special room blocks at these locations, but some possible nearby suggestions are available at the link.
